american kids.

*This post isn’t entirely about Kenny Chesney!

Here I was thinking it’s Friday, which means the start of another lonely weekend under total cloud cover, and then I saw this:

I had no idea it was today! I’m not just saying this – it’s one of his best.

I’ve never been one to have celeb crushes/obsessions (apart from my love for JTT in 5th grade). Not much gets me more excited than new Kenny tunes, and nothing else really matters when his new music comes out.

This tune is off his last album, and it’s still one of my favorite songs he’s ever recorded.

I guess this weekend won’t be so bad. I have a lot of studying to do, and I love studying over brunch!

I’ve also finally started my business. I’ve been designing websites for people, but it’s taken a while to put it together into an actual business. When I started doing this I had no clue how much work it is. I know this seems silly now, but I just thought that since I know all about making websites for people (and in fact did it as my day job for more than a year!) that I could go ahead and make a business in a couple weeks. I quickly realized this was totally not realistic, because I didn’t know the first thing about making contracts or anything. I realized there was so much to do that I didn’t know where to start, and so I put it off for a couple months.

But now that it’s rolling and I’ve done tons of research, I’m so excited about it!! I am also working on big websites for two new businesses, and it’s so much fun. I love being my own boss and working directly with clients. It’s much easier to work directly with people rather than going through a corporate chain and having everything get confused and delayed. I also love making websites because I get to be creative, it’s challenging and I am always learning new cool tricks. Once I’m done with my business website I’ll share it here!

On Sunday I’m┬áleaving for my work trip to Yorkshire for five days, and I’m excited about that because it’s in a part of England I’ve never been to.

Well, I better get back to Kenny!
