This, my friends, is a “girly” size omelet, with toast and chili on the side. Mushrooms, banana peppers, onions, tomato on the inside and topped with pepper jack. Then you pour the chili on top. And salsa, if you want.
It’s my last day in Ohio, so my parents took me out for breakfast to Tank’s Bar & Grill in Dayton’s South Park District.
I’m used to London, so of course I was thinking “girly” would mean possibly one egg. (Oh, and speaking of omelets in London, if you go order one at a restaurant, expect to get nothing but scrambled eggs folded over. No cheese. No nothing. I was so mad, but apparently it’s standard. Cheese is extra.)
Mama Bear got biscuits and gravy, which is always a good choice! Although I don’t agree with the runny egg over top …
Papa Bear got the same thing as me – “girly” omelet with chili. He finished his plate, but not without having that “I don’t know why I did this because I feel sick, but I’d totally do it again” look.
I’m off to NEW YORK CITY tomorrow to spend a week with two of my favorite girls! Robin & Manuela!

Ooo, NYC is my fave, I can’t wait to hear about all your adventures there! You better instagram the whole thing ;D
Egg on top of biscuits and gravy? That’s just odd and unnecessary. Like baked cheese sticks. I’m still trying to re-master the omelet, but I always end up with scrambled eggs. I think I’m just too impatient. Maybe I just need to give up and go buy one from somewhere that knows what it’s doing.

Oh! I always wanted to say I love the new (hopefully new, and I’m not just unobservant) sidebar pic!

Haha agreed! It’s runny enough! And yep, the sidebar pic is new. Thank you
