Dorky things are cool.
1) Magic The Gathering.
I had a few friends over for a game and some drinks Friday night. It was good fun, but not enough fighting. I love Risk games where you get in huge fights with people and you all end up airing past grievances that you’ve never mentioned before.
In Risk, there should be no smiles.
People found it unbelievable that I didn’t have any speakers for my iPhone, so we ended up having to use a glass bowl, and then a smaller glass cup which worked surprisingly well!
Why spend money on speakers when you can use a glass cup?
The past few days have been Chris-filled. We had a lot of Beavis & Butt-Head to watch, so after work Thursday we made a bunch of food and got crackin on my B&B box set. Neither of us were allowed to watch Beavis & Butt-Head when we were younger so all of the episodes are “new” for us.
(Mom and Dad: I don’t understand why I wasn’t allowed to watch this show?? What’s wrong with hearing Butt-Head talk about how he’s going to get a tattoo on his butt, of a butt with a butt-shaped tattoo? Or was it that you were afraid I’d start walking around calling people “ass munch” and “butt burglar”?)
Anyway, first I made a salad and some bread, because I was so hungry my hands were shaking. I still managed to take a picture, though, because my blog has been foodless for a while.
Rocket + cucumber + strawberries drizzled with balsamic and EVOO
Bread with vegan butter, heated.
Not a whole lot is better than warmed bread and butter.
We couldn’t decide what to make for dinner. My only request was that it included mushrooms, because I had a gigantic craving. I was thinking a simple plate full of roasted veg with lots of ‘shrooms, but Chris decided to go all out and make a mushroom risotto. Fine by me!
Mushroom and spinach risotto, served on the floor with two glasses of wine.
Umm … not the best picture. Couldn’t be bothered. Had to eat.
THEN on Friday I ate Thai food for the first time in a long time. The fried tofu was fantastic, but the real party in my mouth happened with the veggie spring rolls. I just love snacks and dips and things stuffed with vegetables.
Well, I’m done for now. I don’t have my glasses or contacts so typing this post has been a bit difficult. If there were mistakes, it was because I am partially blind.
