People can say what they want about pop music, but there is good pop. Taylor Swift is great pop, and her new song isn’t country!

I love pop music! This song is fun – glad to have heard it. It reminds me of Avril Lavigne (sorry, it does…I went through a brief Avril phase…not pretty, but I loved every moment of it!).
I get it that pop music is totally bogus to many people who create or appreciate music for pure artistic beauty and pleasure, but if you can’t get behind the lyrics of a pop song, I feel like you aren’t connecting with your generation at all…

I’ve read a few people commenting that she sounds like Avril in this song. I used to love Avril as well!
I totally understand that as well. I mean, if it’s not your taste, fine, but so many people outright hate it and constantly cite it as “what’s wrong with the world today.” I don’t get that.
